This method statement describes a detailed procedure for properly installing cable trays and conduits for the Feeder System.
Purpose
The objective is to ensure safety, quality and compliance during the installation process.

General Installation
Installation of the cable tray and conduit system will be done through in the following order:
- Approval for Construction Drawings, Shop Drawings and Materials,
- Verification of the Site Conditions,
- Installation and repair of cable trays, conduits, accessories and supports,
- Inspection & Quality Verification.
- System Handover
Equipment Required
- Ladder for system installation.
- Cable stripper or crimper for cable connections
- Electric Drill/Grinder for system installation.
Methodology
a). Approval of Drawings & Materials
Before any site work starts obtain the client’s approval for construction designs, shop drawings & materials.
b). Site Condition Check
Installation Procedure
Step-1: Confirm the actual layout, dimensions & mounting height of cable trays & conduits.
Step-2: Install safety barriers & warning signs across the work area.
Step-3: Coordinate with other trades to prevent interference during installation.
Step-4: Before installing any trays, conduits (or) accessories, inspect them for faults (or) damage.
Step-5: Clearly identify each cable tray/conduit by feeder name & branch number.
Step-6: During installation, strictly adhere to the approved shop drawings and specifications.

Inspection Procedure
Step-1: Visually and dimensionally inspect all installed trays, conduits, accessories and grounding connections.
Step-2: Check for conformance with approved designs and standards.
Step-3: An engineer (or) client representative must be present throughout all inspections.
Step-6: Document & photograph all inspection results for your records.
System Handover
Following a successful inspection, the service engineer will deliver system training and demonstrations to the client and maintenance team.
Provide completion records, inspection reports and other relevant papers for final approval.
Safety Control Measures
a). Daily Toolbox Meetings
Hold daily safety briefings to review potential hazards and preventive measures prior to starting work.
b). Safety Signs and Barricades
c). Safety Officers and Patrol
The Safety Officer will oversee installation activities, hold daily safety meetings and also conduct regular safety patrols.
d). Safe Equipment Operation
Exclude non-involved personnel inside the work zone.
Ensure that all employees wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
When working at heights always use suitable harnesses and fall protection.
Before using lifting or drilling equipment, make sure the location is safe by installing barriers and signs.
Quality Control (QC)
To ensure compliance and quality assurance (QA):
Inspect the materials and installation methods on a regular basis.
Please submit inspection & quality verification paperwork for approval.
Ensure that all installations meet the required specifications & IEEE standards.
Conclusion
This method statement assures that cable tray and conduit installations are completed in a methodical, safe and fully compliant manner with regulatory standards.
Following this procedure ensures a high-quality feeder system installation whereas reducing rework ensuring electrical dependability and maintaining worker safety.
