**Formula for converting volts to kilowatts in DC phase:**

The voltage V in volts (V), multiplied by the current I in amps (A), divided by 1000, gives the power P in kilowatts (kW):

**P = V Ã— I/ 1000**

**Formula for converting volts to kilowatts in AC single phase:**

The power factor PF times the current I in amps (A) times the voltage V in volts (V) times the current in kilowatts (kW) divided by 1000 gives the power P in kilowatts (kW):

**P = PF Ã— I Ã— V / 1000**

**Formula for converting volts to kilowatts in AC Three phase:**

The power P in kilowatts (kW) is equal to the square root of three times the power factor (PF), the current I in amps (A), the line-to-line RMS voltage V_{L-L} in volts (V), and the voltage divided by 1000:

**P = 3 PF X I X V _{L-L }/ 1000.**
