Using coulombs or elementary charge, volts can be changed into electron volts. Using coulombs or an elementary charge, convert that one to volts using the appropriate formula.
Calculating voltage to energy using elementary charge:
The electric charge Q in elementary charge or proton/electron charge (e) multiplied by the voltage V in volts (V) gives the energy E in electron-volts (eV).
E = V × Q
Calculating voltage to energy using coulombs:
The voltage V in volts (V) multiplied by the electrical charge Q in coulombs (C) and divided by 1.60217656510-19 gives the energy E in electron-volts (eV)
E = V × Q / 1.602176565×10-19
