Watt (W):

In an electric device, the power used in the circuit is measured in watts (W) and is also referred to as the useful power or actual power of the electric circuit.

1 kilowatt ( kW ) = 1000 watt ( W )

Kilo volt-ampere (kVA):

Kilovolt-amperes (kVA) is the apparent power of an electrical device. It may also be calculated as the product of the electrical circuit’s current and voltage ratings.

Power Factor:

In an electric power system, the power factor is the ratio of power that can be utilised in the circuit to the apparent power of the electric circuit.

Power factor ( PF ) = kW/kVA

The conversion from kilovolt-amps to watts is as follows:

W = 1000 x kVA x PF

This indicates that the real power, expressed in watts (W), can be determined by multiplying 1000 times the apparent power, expressed in kilovolt-amperes, by the power factor.

Enter the apparent power in kilovolt-amps and power factor.
