MCC & PCC Panel Safety Checklist

This post describes the safe, methodical, and logical steps of the MCC & PCC panel.

This SOP can be utilized for recommendations on any enhancements in the maintenance of the facility, combined with the reasons.

It is critical to take necessary safety precautions when performing an electrical panel checking out, as failing to do so may result in severe harm and even fatality from electrical shock (or) fire. A thorough and well-executed inspection can detect possible problems prior to them because an electrical breakdown, but the inspector’s safety must always be the first priority.

  1. Turn off the power: Before checking or maintaining the electrical panel, turn off the primary circuit breaker or fuse. This will help to avoid electrocution or electric shock. 
  2. Use the appropriate tools: To avoid electrical shock, use the appropriate instruments for the job, including voltage testers, rubber-handled pliers, & screwdrivers. 
  3. Wear the necessary gear: Wear rubber-soled shoes, work gloves and safety glasses to prevent electrical shock and other risks. 
  4. Do not touch the live wires. Do not touch any live wires (or) terminals, since this might result in electrical shock or severe injury. 
  5. Be alert of your surroundings. Be aware of your surroundings and search for any hazards, such as water or combustible objects, which might heighten the risk of electrical shock (or) fire. 
  6. It is essential to remember that safety must be prioritized when working with electrical systems, so take all required precautions and always adhere to basic safety standards to protect yourself & others.

PCC (Power Control Centre) Panels monitor & control the voltage & power of the power system. These panels are comprised of high-quality raw materials and are exceptionally durable in construction.

A PCC Panel is a power distribution board that controls the electrical power delivered to HT panels, MCC panels, and transformers, all of which serve essential functions in any electrical control system. The Power Control Centre distributes and controls numerous industrial power sources.

For a number of reasons, motor control center (MCC) and power control center (PCC) prevention is important. 

  • First, MCC & PCC health depends on preventative care, just like it does for other electrical (or) technological systems. These systems are essential, and their malfunction can put people and property in danger, be expensive to fix, and cause significant downtime that costs money.
