What is Secondary Voltage?
Secondary Voltage (V2) is the output voltage achieved on the secondary side of a transformer, derived from the specified
- Primary voltage (V1),
- Primary current (I1) &
- Secondary current (I2).
Secondary Voltage (V2) is the electrical voltage determined in a transformer‘s secondary winding. The output voltage is given to the load connected on secondary side.
Secondary Voltage (V2) is a transformer’s useful output voltage that is influenced directly by the
- Turns ratio,
- Load conditions &
- Input power.

The value of V2 is determined by the applied primary voltage (V1), the turn ratio across the primary & secondary windings & the load current passing through the transformer.

Formula
V2 = V1 x (I1/I2)
Solution
V2 = 230 x (10/50)
V2 = 230 x 0.2
V2 = 46 V
